DETROIT & CLEVELAND (D & C)? NAVIGATION SHIP Column Vintage Book Cadillac Hotel

DETROIT & CLEVELAND (D & C) NAVIGATION SHIP VINTAGE COLUMN, OR FROM ONE OF ITS FERRY COMPETITORS! This is an architectural salvage find from a Detroit area estate sale. It was said to have come off of a ferry ship that carried passengers from Detroit to Toledo, as well as other locations on Lake Erie. It is very likely that this came out of a D & C Navigation ship, but we don't have conclusive evidence. Either a Detroit & Cleveland (D & C) ship or one of its contemporary competitors, this is an incredible find from Detroit River history! It measures about  12 1/2" x 4" x 4" and weighs about 3 lbs.
