This c1888 Victorian/Aesthetic era ball and stick interior fretwork piece was salvaged from an 1888 farm house in Roscoe, IL.  It measures64"w x 9 1/4"h in center x 3/4"thick, outside stringers are 19 1/4"h.  The frame and the scrolled pieces are oak and the spindles and balls are a mix of maple and/or birch.  This piece is dowel constructed and is in mint condition with no damage or missing pieces.  It is, as far as I am concerned, a wonderful example of Victorian architecture and good to go for another 100 years or more!
